How To Draw A Basic Snowflake
Every snowflake is different, but they all follow rules of fractal geometry in a way, so we tin can use these rules to draw a realistic snowflake with but a few steps. It's easier than you lot retrieve!
But if you want a beautiful snowflake without drawing it, skip right to the end of the tutorial for some high-quality resource from GraphicRiver and Envato Elements.
1. How to Plan a Snowflake
Stride one
Describe a vertical line and marking its center.
Step 2
Cantankerous the center with ii lines. Imagine that it's a circular pie you want to cutting in half dozen parts. You can describe that circle lightly, or simply keep information technology in retentivity.
Step iii
Sketch (or imagine, if you want to keep information technology clearer) a smaller circle in the center. This will help us create a nice limerick.
Step 4
Connect the lines near the center to create a modest hexagon.
Step 5
Cross each line with a brusk horizontal line and a dot above it.
Step half-dozen
Employ these marks every bit guide lines to expand the middle of the snowflake.
Step seven
The main "body" of the snowflake is done, and then nosotros tin can now add the "arms". Go on them symmetrical!
Step viii
Add more arms to the arms outside of the small circle.
ii. How to Draw a Snowflake
Pace i
The bones construction is ready, then we tin can now build on it to create a cute snowflake. You tin can put a new sheet of paper over the guide lines to create a clean cartoon, or only take a darker tool to create the final lines.
Outline the torso of the snowflake. Feel free to add some details here.
Step ii
Outline the artillery, giving them thickness and crystal shapes.
Step 3
Add the little arms using the aforementioned shapes.
Step four
Finish the artillery with more interesting shapes.
Step 5
You tin leave it this way, but you tin also add more crystals within the smaller circle.
Pace 6
Add any final details you can think of.
Adept Job!
This method of cartoon a snowflake can be hands modified to achieve various results. Just continue it symmetrical!
